    PC Performance Loss

Hello, I've been in a hard time for the last week or so, my PC went from running a respectable 60+ fps in probably every game and even some on 150+ fps on one day, to running no higher than 20 fps the other day. The PC was a lot slower in general and things took longer to load and download. My graphics card isn't the best but the performance loss was so big its hard to not notice. Here are my specs :

    Processor: IntelR CoreTM i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHz

    Installed RAM: 8.00GB

    IntelR HD Graphics 4600

I haven't installed anything new tried scanning for viruses, rolling back to a previous version and updating to the newest version of windows and all but the PC just wont perform well anymore.

    Any idea why?

    What should I do?

    :)

    Please share the detail.

    • Which application you are referring to?

Method 1: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with system. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your System Maintenance.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the
      left panel.

If the issues persist try next method.

Method 2: I would suggest you to perform a clean boot and check.

Putting your system in Clean Boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. You need to follow the steps from the article mentioned below to perform a Clean Boot.
