Windows 10: PC ports isnt working.

I've seen multiple people with the same problem but none have gotten a real solution.


What's wrong?

Here it goes, i left my pc power on overnight so my usb ports were charging headset and mouse. The next day i try to login to my pc and the mouse, keyboard was working fine in the BIOS menu. But, when i then start up and open windows, it stops working.


What i've tried:

I've tried, turning the power off for a couple of hours and then turning it on. I've tried pluging my mouse and keyboard out and then putting them back in when in windows mode, i've tried resetting BIOS settings.


Note:

I can't do anyting in windows like download a program or opening stuff as my mouse and keyboard isnt working in windows state.


I hope someone can come up with a solution as i just got this PC and i'm really sad that it turns out like this after just 3 days of playing with it.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

If the issue still persists.

I suggest that you visit the computer manufacturer website, download the latest BIOS and install. Check if the USB ports are working fine.

NOTE: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring
of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

USB Ports not working

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted drivers on your device. Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check if there are any drivers with exclamatory mark in Device Manager.

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Device Manager.
• Check for the drivers with exclamatory mark in yellow triangle.
• If so, right click on the driver, click on Properties
  and check the device status.
• Also, try to update the drivers by click on Update driver software
  under Drivers tab in Properties window.

Step 2: I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter
checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.
