Windows 10: PC posts to monitor using a display port to hdmi cable, then forgets the monitor exists...

I've had this issue for about 2 weeks at this point. I turn on my PC, it posts to the main display the one using the DP cable, then only shows image on the secondary monitor only uses HDMI. The DP cable seems to work just fine anywhere else, as evident by the fact it posts just fine. However after posting, the monitor is seemingly forgotten entirely.Should also include a monitor named something like Onn TVAnother thing I think is good to note: the monitor WILL work on occasion. Typically, I just have to keep power cycling the PC, unplugging the second monitor, and praying it posts and s

No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

1. Turn off computer
   
2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
   
3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.
   
   Step 2: Tun off computer
   

1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
   
2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
   
3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select
   
   System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2
   
   D Click on Advanced Display Settings:
   
   Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV
   
   E Right-click the Speakers icon in
   the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,

Windows 11 does not work with Monitor in Display Port, but HDMI ¿?

Thanks, but I've already followed that (obvious) steps...

It's curious:

- If I start the computer with 1 monitor using Hdmi cable, it works (shown windows 11 fine)

- If I start the computer with 2 monitors (1 using hdmi cable, 1 using display port cable), it works (shown windows 11 fine in dual screen)

- If I start the computer with 1 monitor using Display Port cable, it works until windows 11 loads... shown Bios/Post boot... but then black screen not showing windows 11. It's a Microsoft Windows matter. I do press Shift + Start + Ctrl + B (to reset 'graphics') the monitor does a 'flick' but continue without showing windows 11.

I got the problem with only one monitor, using display port...

It's true that I've used 2 monitor to check if it was the display port cable or display por connector or the monitor, but with 2 monitors (one hdmi and another display port) it works very well with dual screen... and yes, I can switch display port as primary or secondary... it works ...

As I explained, when using only 1 monitor using display port, and re-installing windows 11 (just to check it form scratch) the computer is shown in the monitor very well (bios, post/boot, windows 11 usb installation wizard, configuration, device preparation, etc.) but I reach a moment (after asking me for the User) that the monitor seems to 'switch off' or something like that, because monitor remains On but showing nothing on screen... and the computer seems to keep working but without showing anything on screen...

Before re-installing I had HDMI cable and I noticed this mistake when I changed it to display port... nothing on screen but I was able to acces thorugh remote desktop to the computer...

It seems windows 11 is not working well with display port
