PC powers up but the monitor recognises no input and the keyboard/mouse have no effect

I came back from a week of holiday where my pc was shut down. I turned it on and then left it for a while and it went to sleep. I pressed the power button and the titular issue has occurred, i dont know why. I currently think it could be a motherboard issue but I am not a 100% sure and I’ve struggled to find any information in regards. I’ve had several blue screens of death over the past three months, eversince i added an SSD, 8gb of RAM and a GTX 1080. I have had the PC since 2016. Any help is much appreciated.

    :)

  2. Pc starting but no power/signal to keyboard, mouse or monitor

    Hi,

So I've had my gaming pc for a while now.

It runs fine but recently did a factory reset and followed this guide afterwards;ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJTCwSX9Ym8&list=WL&index=5&t=0s it was fine and so I left it on just downloading a game a few days later, nothing unusual. I came back to it
on but no signal on monitor and no power to keyboard and mouse. I've tried going back to a restore point before following the youtube video and still not working so I don't think that's the problem.

    Operating System - Windows 10

    Device - Zoostorm Computer

    Specs -

    ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz

Video CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti

Video Card #2NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

    RAM16 GB

    Operating SystemWindows 10

But it had been working fine, the only thing I could think of is if I had a pre-existing virus or something that was causing this but surely that would've done this sooner. Anyway, right now when I turn my pc off it does the above again, power to the pc
but no keyboard or mouse power and no signal to keyboard. I have figured out that if I take one stick of RAM out (I have two 8gb RAM) and start it up on just one it all boots up and powers everything fine. I then it off, insert the other stick of RAM and start
it up again and it works. But then I power it off at the end of the day and have to repeat those steps again the next morning. This has been happening for a week-ish now and it's just getting time consuming and annoying to do everyday.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

    Thanks, Lewis.

Monitors go into auto power save mode and wont wake up

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions. I have no idea why the computer monitors go into power saving mode. The computer doesn't. I can be browsing the internet (or even playing CandyCrush haha) more or less right after booting up and the monitors go to sleep. I
can not wake them up. I have to turn the PC off and back on again. Not so good if I am doing some work.

Making any changes as you suggest above don't seem to do anything, there is only the mouse, keyboard and "NVIDIA nForce networking controller" listed.

  4. PC powers up but the monitor recognises no input and the keyboard/mouse have no effect

    Dual monitor, Dual mouse??

    Hello,

Please share this information to assist you better.

    • How have you setup dual monitors?
    • Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?
If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.

Let us know the status of the issue. We will assist you further.
