Windows 10: PC Randomly Boots up From Sleep Mode

Hello,

Most of the time I put my computer in sleep mode, after a few hours it randomly boots up. I disabled wake on LAN in the BIOS long ago, which prevented it from awaking from a shutdown state. It happened at 4:00 this morning and woke me up and God that was annoying. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

PC randomly booting up Win7

I have a problem with my computer for the past 2-3 days, when it is off (fully shut-down, NOT hibernating or in sleep mode), a couple times randomly boots itself up. Mostly in the middle of the night waking me up an sometimes when i am away from home.
I have looked into event viewer to see what boots it, but I have found nothing.
In my BIOS i have WAKE-on LAN - DISABLED...

Anyone knows what is the problem ?! Thanks

 

My PC is randomly going into sleep mode ?

Hye

I am bhavesh and i am suffering from a PC problem that is it randomely goes into sleep mode either when i am using it or not.

I have windows 8.1 pro in my pc installed i have turned the sleep mode off and to newer

But it continuously goes onto sleep mode and i have to restart it to get up from sleep mode even if i click on mouse or keyboard it does not even wake up .

Please help me with some precious suggestions.

PC waking up automatically from sleep mode

I understand that the PC is waking from sleep mode as soon as you set it for sleep mode.



I appreciate your efforts in trying to find out that the issue is due to the wireless mouse and keyboard you are using.

1. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
2. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to check the power management tab for the driver and see if that helps.

1. Press Windows key + R. This will open Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
3. Expand the Keyboard and Mouse drivers.
4. Double-click on the drivers and click on Power Management tab.
5. Un-check the box next to Allow this device to wake the computer.
6. Click on OK and close the device manager.

Try putting the PC to sleep mode and then check if the PC is waking up automatically.
