  1. PC randomly has black screens but computer still on and fans running extremely fast

For a while, and more frequently recently, I have had this issue with my PC running windows 10 where the screens suddenly turn black but the computer is still running flashing lights and the fans run very loudly. From what I can tell this is not associated with GPU temp which was the main answer I was seeing online as it can happen even when no applications are running. I've taken a look at the minidump file after this happened yesterday and pasted below. If there is any more information I can provide I am very happy to do so. And I would really appreciate any help on this. Thank you!*****

Laptop fan randomly runs extremely fast ever since Windows update

My laptop is around 6 months old and prior to a Windows update on 15/10/2021 had zero problems.

Windows informed me there was an update, so I updated it as normal, and once my laptop restarted the fan suddenly went crazy. It will only stop if I completely shut it down and restart it.

After some googling, I decide to restore Windows to an early version from a few days before (13/10), removing the update. I assumed this would work.

However, it hasn't. My laptop fan at random goes extremely fast and loud (it sounds like an airplane taking off). I've checked the task manager and there's no extreme CPU usage that correlates with the fan speeding up. It happens at some point randomly within the first 30 minutes of turning on my laptop, and can only be fixed once I shut it down. I teach online and it has been happening during classes, which is extremely disruptive.

My laptop is an Asus M515DA and this is the update that I installed, and then removed: KB5006670 (OS Builds 19041.1288, 19042.1288, and 19043.1288) and Remove specific prevalent malware with Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (KB890830)

As my laptop is relatively new and kept clean and well ventilated, I don't think the issue is with the fans being dirty, dusty etc.

Any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix it? It is still under warranty, but as I desperately need it for work I'm loathe to send it off unless I have to.

Computer randomly turns off and the fans start speeding up fast.

When I am playing games, my computer randomly turns off and the fan start spinning super-fast. It happens randomly and usually a few times during the day. This has been happening throughout the week.

Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.
