  1. PC randomly trying to shut down / going to sleep, keyboard and mouse input lag

Starting about 30 hours ago, my PC of several years began randomly shutting down or going to sleep unprompted. this was accompanied by laggy keyboard and mouse inputs, including symbols being typed that i didn't press. I noticed the issue seemed to happen more under load. I ran a diagnostic on RAM, system files, Storage, all of those seem to be fine. CPU and GPU temps never went above 50 degrees celcius and were generally at around 33, including when these random shut downs happen. I have the machine on a maximum performance power plan, basically all of those settings optimized for peak perfor

Keyboard and Mouse input is lagging

Hi all, hope you all are having a great time.

The keyboard and mouse input is lagging every few seconds or minutes.

Not only the Bluetooth keyboard and mouse input but also the direct input from the laptop keyboard and trackpad are also lagging and this is extremely frustrating.

I feel like it started happening after the Windows update.

These are what I have done so far,

    - change the chrome setting for higher performance

    - performance setting to maximum performance (power mode)

    - changing the Bluetooth module and trying other USB slots - I assume it is not coming from the Bluetooth side as the embedded keyboard and mouse input are lagging too.

Looking forward any potential resolution to rescue me from lagging hell.

  3. Keyboard input lag (Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, Windows 10 20H2)

Hi there. I've got yet another Windows 10 problem. lol

This time it's my keyboard. I'm using a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, on Windows 10 Pro 20H2. I have been experiencing keyboard input lag off and on for a couple months now, and I've searched for possible solutions, but none so far have worked. I was hoping you guys could suggest some fixes.

Here's what I've tried, based on the suggestions I've found on the web:
    • Updating the keyboard/dongle's drivers (there are no drivers on Logitechs's site, oddly) and firmware. Nope.
    • Swapping USB ports. Nada.
    • Unplugging any extraneous USB devices. Zilch.
    • Checking the batteries. No joy.

As I was typing this it was lagging here and there. It's a bit disconcerting. Anyway... I don't think I missed anything, but if you need more information or diagnostics, lemme know and I'll upload 'em.

  4. PC randomly trying to shut down / going to sleep, keyboard and mouse input lag

Keyboard and Mouse input is lagging

    Hi Hannie727,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I'm Hahn and I'm here to help you with your concern.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing keyboard and mouse input lagging issues on your laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

    - Update Device Drivers:

Make sure all your device drivers, especially those for the keyboard and mouse, are updated. You can do this through the Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website for the latest drivers.

    - System File Checker (SFC) and DISM: Run the System File Checker (SFC) and Deployment Image Service and Management Tool (DISM) to check and repair system files. Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files - Microsoft Support

    - Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. If a problem doesn't happen in safe mode, this means that default settings and basic device drivers aren't causing the issue. Observing Windows in safe mode enables you to narrow down the source of a problem, and can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC. Start your PC in safe mode in Windows - Microsoft Support

    - Creating a new user account is an effective troubleshooting step because it can help determine whether the problem is related to the entire system or just to a specific user account. Please follow the steps below to create a new user account: Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support

If the problem does not exist under the new account, the problem may be related to your previous user profile. In this case, you can try to repair or reset the profile of your existing user account, or continue using a newly created account.

I hope these steps can help you fix your keyboard and mouse input lagging issues. If there is anything not clear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Your Sincerely
