Windows 10: Pc recognizes Headphones with mic, only as output.

I have an amazon basic headphones with mic. I used it in my laptop and it works sound and mic, but in my desktop only the sound works. I already tried windows update, sound control panel and drivers. The integrated mic in the headphones is not even showing on recording section.I have a msi mag b760 tomahawk wifi ddr4.

PC not recognizing Headphone Mic

Hi all; recently my computer had a Windows 10 update, and now my PC won't recognize my headphone mic. Previously, I had no issues with it on this PC; I would plug it in the headphones jack and be able to set it up.

Now, however, I can either plug it in the headphones jack and the microphone won't be recognized, or plug it in the mic jack and the mic will be recognized but I can't hear anything.

I've looked online and have performed a lot of troubleshooting tips. I've installed the latest audio drives and still no luck. If anyone has any insight, I'd be very grateful.

 

Realtek audio mic outputting to speakers/headphones


well i had this problem fixed but for some reason it's back and it won't go away no matter what i do i can't figure out how to fix it
I can hear my microphone through my headphones and speakers i have listen to device unchecked
but the weird part is when i try to record my voice my mic doesn't work at all i can't hear anything i've tried muting "microphone" in speaker propetiies and that stops it but i still can't use my mic at all
it's making me really angry*Mad
i should probably mention that it's an internal mic

Mic Will Not Be Recognized With Headphones

I have a computer with windows on it, and for some reason, one night my computer would no longer recognize my mic on my headphones when I plugged it in. I have tried rolling back drivers but that has not worked. I know the mic works because I have been
able to use it on my phone, and the port on my computer did work with mic + speaker together. However, I was recently able to get my computer to recognize the mic from the mic in slot, and the headphones from the audio out, however they don't work together.
I would really appreciate help.
