Windows 10: PC reset taking over 24 hours

I am running a PC reset and clean on a dell inspiton laptop, windows 10.. It has been running over 24 hours! Now what. Should I cancel? Screen shows dell logo and spinning circle and keboard lights occasionally fllicker. Not sure what to expect next. thank you, Carolyn

Windows 10. 12 to 24 hours

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

To change the time format from 12 hour to 24 hour in Windows 10.

Follow the steps:

• Navigate to Control panel.
• In the category view of the control panel, click on the
  ‘Change date, time, or number formats’.
• Change the short time to HH:mm from the drop down.
• Press Apply to make the changes.
• Now your time format will change to 24 hour format.

DISM is taking over 24 hours

I'm having problems installing Windows Updates so I thought that if I use DISM and then SFC, that it might fix the problem.

When I run

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

It takes over 24 hours to complete and the progress stays at 20% for over 24 hours.

How can this be fixed?

My internet connection is working.

 

Windows 10 Reset this PC Takes over 15 Hours

Hello,

Last night, I selected the option to Reset this PC using the WinRE recovery environment. I selected to keep my files because, there were many important work documents that needed to be kept. The reason for the PC reset is due to a Scareware attack. This
is taking an excessive amount of time and is costing our company a lot of money in downtime. Is it normal? Should I tell my user that this may take up to 24 hours? If I reboot, will this make things worse?
