Windows 10: PC restarting at login screen, Can boot to safe mode

PC reboots when it reaches the login screen. Works fine in safe mode/safe mode with networking. I'm at a loss at what else to do. Password not accepted in Safe mode

Have you tried all the above steps suggested by Sangeeta Sarkar on September 13, 2015.

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

• Are you trying to login the Microsoft account or the Local account in safe mode?
• Did you try with only safe mode or safe mode with networking?
• What is the critical error you are getting?

If you are using Windows 10. To go to safe mode you have to follow the below steps.

If you are able to go to login screen in normal mode try the below steps to go to safe mode with networking.

• 
  At the login screen click on the power symbol.
  
• 
  Hold SHIFT + Click Restart.
  
• 
  After restarting your system, select the Troubleshoot option.
  
• 
  Select advanced options under
  Troubleshoot screen.
  
• 
  Click on Startup Settings.
  
• 
  Click Restart and follow the onscreen steps to go to
  Safe Mode with networking and check if you are able to login.

Can’t restart in safe mode

Good day all! I have an issue that prevents Windows 11 (22H2 22621.1194) from fully loading in normal mode. When I follow the steps for Safe Mode:

1. At the login screen, hold down the shift key and press the Power Button then Restart to make it enter Recovery Environment.
   
2. Now please select Troubleshoot > Select Advanced options > Select Startup Settings then Click Restart.
   
3. However, I do not get the startup options menu - the computer just starts back up like in normal mode.
   

Any suggestions?

 

No login prompt and cannot boot in safe mode.

Am helping a friend set her PC back up after it has been stored (everything unplugged) for about 9 months.
When we first went to turn it on the fans kicked in and it would appear to start booting up but then turn itself off again after about 10 or so seconds of activity.
It did this 3 times and on the 4th attempt it finally loaded.
However, it loaded as far as the login screen and when we mouse click or press a button the time etc clears from the screen but the login prompt is not there at all.

Have searched through forums and seen mention of similar problems solved by booting in safe mode.

I cannot get this PC to boot in safe mode.

Shift+Restart - the pc says it is restarting but just shuts down.

Power on and interrupt loading 3 times to try and get Automatic Repair Mode to trigger has done nothing. It will just load to the login screen again once I let it load fully.

I even tried holding F2 while turning it on to try and get to BIOS, but this did nothing.

I'm stumped at this point, how can I get this PC to boot in safe mode?
