Windows 10: PC restarts randomly at least 3 times a week.

PC restarts without any warning except when I enable driver verifier, then it starts to give BSOD's like VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION with 0x000000c4 and 0x000000d1. I must mention what I've tried:
-updates to the latest version including bios
-rolling back drivers
There is also no overclock applied.

It all started when i was opening Chrome and the crash was when it loaded a video or a thumbnail. I reinstalled the video drivers and the problem was gone. After some time it gave me usbfilter.sys BSOD at startup until i unistalled VMWare. On their site they said that there are some problems with AMD's usb drivers. I had to enter Safe Mode and enable the Windows unistaller. The problem again was gone, for a few days then again restart.

Change registry value cause at least 3 times reboot

Hi,

I tweak my WM 6.1 by change certain registry value for performance purpose. I found that, after changed, my mobile would fail to boot (stop at window green screen). I am not sure whether it takes longer time to boot. However, I used to wait for > 10 mins but
still retain at same screen.

I got to soft-reset my mobile again by press the red button under the cover. Usually, only the 3rd soft-reset would be successfully. 1st time freeze at window splash screen. 2nd time usually freeze at "Loading OEM today plugin ..."

Once boot ok, the subsequence soft-reset would be fine as well.

Question, is behavour normal, by design or any problem to my mobile?

I was thinking whether WM would cache anything during soft-reset if nothing change. If any, then it need to "clean" and reload everything or ...

Any ideas?

I suggest you restore the default registry values to see if you experience the same problem. Otherwise. remove the storage card and reboot your device. i had a similar issue once. The system was unable to load the card drivers and would stop at the windows
logo screen.

Windows failed fast startup.

For all tests / steps please post images into the thread.

1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
2) sfc /scannow
3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
4) chkdsk /scan
5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
6) Turn off Windows fast startup:

7) To fix the misbehaving AMD graphics drivers:8) Uninstall everything AMD using Display driver uninstaller and install new drivers from the computer or motherboard manufacturer's website or from the AMD website.
9) The computer or motherboard manufacturer websites are preferred as sources of new drivers if they are available.
10) If you use the AMD web site be sure the "clean install" box is checked and only install the graphics driver.

13) The BIOS: BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. V8.3, 4/7/2016
Check to see that this is the most up to date BIOS.

14) Open the website for the computer's drivers and bios and post a URL or hyperlink into the thread.
15) make sure that there is no over clocking during the troubleshooting process

16) Make sure your files are backed up.

Enabled driver verifier for all drivers and no BSOD, reconfigured verifier for non-Microsoft drivers and got DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION BSOD at startup, had to enter Safe Mode to disable verifier.
Oh and I forgot to mention that after one of the latest restarts firefox stopped working for some reason.

1) Open the website for the computer's drivers and bios
2) Post the URL or hyperlink into the thread.
3) Type verifier in the left lower corner search > on the driver verifier manager click delete existing settings > click finish > click yes or ok
This should turn off Windows driver verifier.
Please keep Windows driver verifer off.
The tool will be used at a later time with specific settings.
4) Update the chip set drivers
5) Run Memtest 86+ version 5.01 for 8 or more passes.

The more the passes the better the test.
6) When the testing has completed 8 or more passes use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.
