Windows 10: PC screen is blank after Windows 10 version 2004 patch

Hi,


My PC screen is now blank after a Windows 10 version 2004 patch.


I am not even able to see my motherboard logo displayed on my screen. Its like the graphic is gone. I m currently using my onboard graphic.


Please advise!

Blank screen after logging in to Windows 10

I understand that you are receiving a blank screen with mouse cursor after login to Windows. I’ll certainly help you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• What is the make and model of the computer?
  
• What happens when you boot the computer to Safe Mode?
  
• Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently? To check type:
  winver in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
