Windows 10: PC scrolling up and down by itself

Discus and support PC scrolling up and down by itself in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; A few days ago, my desktop suddenly started scrolling up and down by itself.     PC scrolling up and down by itself


    A few days ago, my desktop suddenly started scrolling up and down by itself. It has gotten bad enough that my computer is nearly unusable as it keeps clicking out of text fields, interrupting games, etc. Sometimes the mouse scroll wheel won't even respond.


    So far, I have tried:

    - Switching mice (both mice have done the same thing)

    - Unplugging mouse and keyboard

    - Disabling page up/down keys on the keyboard

    - Installing windows updates

    - Running a virus scan (nothing)

    - Uninstalling and reinstalling mouse and tablet monitor drivers

    - Restarting numerous times

    - Updating apps

    - Running a system scan (also nothing)


    Absolutely nothing has worked. As far as I know, there were no updates or anything that led up to this. I don't have any devices such as a game controller that could be causing this. None of the keyboard keys are sticking, either. Any help would be appreciated.

    Do let us know if your touchpad functionality is fine other than the mentioned issue?

    As you are facing issues with scroll options in few of the applications on Windows 10. Try the below and check if it helps.

    Method 1: I suggest you to change the mouse & touchpad settings and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key, type mouse
      and select Mouse & touchpad settings.
    • Choose appropriately with the following options and check if the issue persists.
    • Roll the mouse wheel to scroll
    • Choose how many lines to scroll each time

    Method 2:

    Step 1: As you are using touchpad, I suggest you to use different mouse to different ports and check if it helps.

    Step 2: I suggest you to boot the computer to Safe mode and check if the issue persists.

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    This may have occurred due to a mouse driver conflict or a hardware issue that caused this. For us to help you with this, kindly answer the following questions:

    • What is the make and model of your mouse? Is it wired or wireless?
    • Have you made any recent changes to your computer?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    On the other hand, we suggest that you check this
