    Hello,


    I've had difficulty with my PC ever since upgrading from windows 8.1 to 10. Whenever I put my PC to sleep, it seems to shut down instead. All my programs close, and chrome always indicates it was not shut down correctly.


    I've tried updating my power settings to stop hibernation, but that hasn't helped. Everything worked fine under 8.1, so I don't understand why it's shutting down now under the new OS. Would a new OS require updating something like drivers? I haven't noticed any other loss of function.

    • Do you see any error code or error message on the screen?
    I suggest you to perform the below methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1: Run power troubleshooter.


    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar and without quotes and click on
      Troubleshooting in the results displayed on the top of the window

    • Click System and Security on left panel.

    • Click Power, new window will popup.

    • Follow the on screen instructions.

    Windows 10 upgrade, when I hit sleep the computer shuts down after a while instead of sleep

    Thanks. I had already done those steps and it didn't help. I still have the shut down issue after it sleeps for a while. Any other Suggestions?
