Windows 10: PC shuts down upon boot sometimes

    PC shuts down upon boot sometimes


    Sometimes my PC shuts down right after posting. When I then press the power button again it works fine. Also no issues when waking from suspend. I don't know what the issue is here and need help. I'm on Win 10 Pro 64bit. All drivers are up to date. Fresh install.

    My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

    Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
    Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

    Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
    Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

    We would like to know more about the issue. Did you make any software or hardware changes to the computer? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

    If you haven't done so yet, we suggest that you try to follow the steps provided below:

    • Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10, click this
      link.
    • Try a cold boot. Shut down your device, remove power cord and battery (if available) and wait for about 20 seconds. Then connect battery and power cord and try booting again.
