Windows 10: PC shutting down automatically.

Greeting to all the people...Sir/Mam I want you too help me with an issue in my dell laptop..The issue is that whenever I put my laptop`s lid down or put it to sleep or leave it unattended it automatically shuts down...This issue I think is from some update. but I can`t figure out from which update.please help aS my exams are coming

I understand that the PC is shutting down automatically when using.



I would suggest you to run the powercfg
command to generate the sleep diagnostic report to analyze the issue further. Kindly follow the steps to generate the report.

1. Click on the Search Bar
   on the Taskbar and type CMD.
   
2. Now right click on it and select
   Run as administrator.
   
3. Type the following command and hit enter:
   powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics
   

I have sent a private message to you, once the report is generated please share it through private message.



However, if you are connected to domain network there could be some group policies affecting this, I would suggest you to post your query on

# To resolve this problem, make sure that BITS and the Automatic Updates service are started..

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
