Windows 10: PC shutting off and no idea how to fix

    PC shutting off and no idea how to fix


    I have this issue where while using my PC it will randomly just black screen and not show any display, i can’t shut it down in any way unless i shut off the psu and flip it back on. The problem is that when i do try to turn it back on the “CPU” LED is on in the motherboard and the pc won’t power on. I’ve switched around the RAM and turning it on and it would eventually power on normally and eventually it’ll shut down again and the same process occurs. I don’t know what to do to fix this i’ve restarted my pc, i’ve updated the motherboard bios and motherboard chipset drivers and the issue just h

    Windows 10 updates shut down pc, not restart.

    To update this case, these steps did not fix the issue. With no loss of power or active shutdown attempts, etc, my PC was shut down this morning.

    I plug my other devices into my pc to sync / charge overnight, and when my PC shuts down, this cannot occur.

    I would appreciate other ideas. Thanks!

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Programs not working

    In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
