    PC slowing down barely useable Is my Window Drive dying/dead


    Last 2 days my PC has Slowed down significantly when starting PC, logging in and opening apps like Discord/Windows Explorer/Chrome. Gameson a different SSD play fine once they start no lag,pausing, or crashing. Now today my PC doesn’t get past starting up or taking more than 20 mins to start up, even if it gets past the start up phase it’s extremely slow and almost unusable. It said that the drive was using 100% disk usage even though I had nothing open last night before I logged off.

    Slow hard drive

    I don't know how it slows it down, I just know that windows goes crazy if I have my USB drive in my computer while trying to boot windows *Laugh :laugh:. And I got the list trick off of Wazzledoozle.

    Is my hard-drive dying?

    My acer aspire 5600U all in one PC has been acting up for a while now, for the ever since I updated to windows 8.1 years ago my computers hard drive has failed to recover from 100% disc usage...

    With the picture provided would any of you assume the drives dying ?

    If so, would It be wise to try and replace the hard drive with say-- an SSD in order improve performance? I'm just curious if this is even possible with it being an all in one system.. then again... its all possible with the know-how.

    Any other suggestions?
