Windows 10: PC sound, video and more problems.

Hi! So yesterday, my pc started to act strange. It all happened when I listened to music while playing games. First the music froze and it made a buzzing sound, so I shut my game and music off. Then any program I tried to start after the initial incident either wouldn’t start or it would just freeze completely with a blank screen.

Not to mention that I can only watch videos temporarily before all videos stop playing and just keeps buffering.

This happens everytime after a short period of time since I turn on my pc.


When trying to shut down my pc, it will take a very long time before it shuts down completely. Sometimes it doesn't turn off so I have to manually press the power button to shut it down.


I should mention that my pc is missing a gpu so I’m using the integrated graphics. The reason being my pc is old and I’m going to buy a new pc in a few months so I haven’t bothered. But I’d still like to fix this problem.

Corsair 8GB (3x4096MB) CL9 1600Mhz VENGEANCE LP Status (1 slot on motherboard is damaged, hence only 3 sticks)

Trouble with Sound on videos stopping?

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.
