Windows 10: PC starts and shows the asus logo but then a black screen or automatic repair screen

it goes into safe mode no problem just have no clue what to do. Today i installed a new SSD and then i switched out my old gpu with a new GPU.

Preparing automatic repair black screen afterwards stuck

Fixing this gaming PC for a friend. His computer gets stuck on the windows logo with the dotted spinning circle. In the past to fix this i've done a startup repair. But this time, the PC starts the Preparing Automatic Repair, then screen goes black, where normally it should be showing diagnosing your pc before loaded the Automatic Repair screen.

What should I attempt to try next?

Windows 10 Logo Screen Freeze / Preparing for Automatic Repair

Hello,

After upgrading video drivers my PC started to hang on the windows loading screen. Sometimes it presents just a black screen with windows logo, other times it displays "Preparing Automatic Repair". I have left the computer on for extended periods of time
and the screen never changes.

I have attempted to use a Windows 10 boot USB as well as DVD to enter safe mode, but the computer freezes on the ASUS logo screen or windows logo screen. I have occasionally been able to get to the screen that allows me to select a mode, but it stalls on
the windows or ASUS screen after any choices. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
