Windows 10: PC starts but show nothing

    PC starts but show nothing


    Context: Some little rain started and was very nice and lovely, but then, an out-of-nowhere thunder just goes boom near my house Sorry my bad english. My monitor went black for like 3-4 seconds, then it turned on. Everything was okay. I closed youtube and turned off the PC, in the fear of more thunder. The bad thing happened 20 minutes later, when I turned on my pc. It showed nothing.Problem: Whenever I start my pc, it shows nothing. PC fans are on, gpu is on, everything is ON inside the pc case, but the monitor says "No Signal" and the keyboard and mouse doesnt turn on.I tried: I thought PC

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    1. Is Cortana able to search the apps installed?

    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if that helps.

    • Type Start Settings in Search and hit
      Enter.
    • Turn on Show recently added apps in jump list of Start of Taskbar.

    how do i reset the start menu in windows 10 to not show tiles?

    A few days ago, my friends Win10 computer stopped showing his desktop and now only shows the tiles (he wants to see the default list of programs, not any tiles).

    Clicking on the Windows key or "start menu" doesn't change anything. I stepped him through some online suggestions (including Settings/Start/Use-start-full-screen and making sure Settings/Table-mode was not engaged) but they don't work.

    I've also compared his settings (Start/Use-start-full... and Table-mode) to my Win10 machine and they are the same.

    Assistance/suggestions would be appreciated.

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
