    Laptop stuck on 'getting windows ready' for 30 minutes after restart

    My laptop automatically updated to Windows 10 last night. When I turned it on this morning it was really slow so I decided to restart it.

    It has now been stuck on 'getting windows ready' for 30 minutes. What do I do?

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Go to the Microsoft software download website and create Windows 10
      installation media.
    • Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
    • On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
    • On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot>Advanced Options.
    • Click on Startup Repair.

    After the repair is complete, check for status.

    Pc stuck on loading after a restart, been like this for more than 30 minutes.

    Windows 10 pro will not shutdown or restart. Gets stuck

    I tried to shutdown and restart my pc but both times they STUCK! I left it for 15 minutes and still had to force shutdown
