Windows 10: PC stuck on loading screen stating update 100% there but does not progress past this.

Hello, following recent update my PC is stuck on the you're 100% there screen and doesn't progress past this.PC is only 4 month old. I have reset and reinstalled updates and have had the same issue occure.Please could someone help?Additional note: I have just tried to perform a start up repair via the restore function and the PC has again tried to install updates but the messages on screen now states "something didn't go as planned. No need to worry-undergoing changes" and is now stuck on this screen!.

Jmarco thanks for quick response. The point I always get stuck at is, after win10 dl is complete, it sets up to install then after it reaches 100%, it reboots and then it stays at the blue window screen with progress circle. I don't think windows 10 did
not begin to install at that point. I've tried about a dozen times already with same results but I'm preparing to try with your suggestion and will let you kno.

Hi,

Windows 10 downloaded cumulative patch, restarted numerous times as expected and when finally, when the progress went to 100 percent it seems to be stuck.

It is just showing a blue screen "Working on updates 100%. Don't turn off your PC. This will take a while".

Well, it already took a while: over SIX hours and it still shows the same, 100%, dont turn off your PC.

Can I restart the computer or should I wait more for it to finish? And if wait then how long? An hour, a day, a week?

Anyone can help, please?

Please note, that system tools are not available, as windows is not loaded, it is just a blue screen saying updates are in 100%.

What should I do?

I'm was so excited that windows came out with new version of OS but today is like the 4th day I've tried to update from 8.1 to 10. The problem I'm having is that after downloading is complete and setting up is at 100% and then it reboots, the black screen
with the little blue window and the progress circle comes up and it's stuck there. Last night I left it at that and this morning (7hrs later) it still at that screen.

i tried other options such as downloading to usb and booting from usb drive and same result. I also tried booting from disc after burning ISO to disk, that also had the same result. I'v tried force update goin into cmd "wuauclt.exe /updatenow" ALSO same
result. I even tried to clean install after backing up my pc, nothing seems to work. It always stuck on blue window screen. Please anyone help.
