Windows 10: PC stuck while preparing automatic repair

My PC is stuck in an "automatic repair preparation" cycle. I have not updated or added any hardware. The PC stopped responding the other day so I turned it off. I was initially able to do a hard reboot and get into the blue screen, but now no matter how many times I do a hard reboot, I just get a black screen with the Dell logo and a "Automatic repair readiness readiness" message. Can I use F12 in bootup and go into the boot mode settings. It is currently set to UEFI and secure boot is enabled. From this screen I ran the diagnostics and all the hardware checked correctly. My Pc is stuck on Preparing Automatic Repair and i tried to reboot it 3 times but it failed and instead of loading in the automatic Repair, it just loaded the icon of windows and no words or loading. I also tried to take the ac adapter off but nothing happened.
I also dont have the disk of the safe mode or usb. Please help

Fixing this gaming PC for a friend. His computer gets stuck on the windows logo with the dotted spinning circle. In the past to fix this i've done a startup repair. But this time, the PC starts the Preparing Automatic Repair, then screen goes black, where normally it should be showing diagnosing your pc before loaded the Automatic Repair screen.

What should I attempt to try next?
