Windows 10: Pc suddenly not booting up, says no boot avaiable.

My mothers work pc (with a LOOOOT of data) in a moment started to work slowly. My mother couldnt do anything and restarted it. While booting, it went to blue screen and into bios. Restart again, same thing. Third restart I decided to see what is the problem. Now here is where I dont know what am I doing but decided to try to see what is happening there.

It is the asrock uefi. I am totally not familar with that one so I dont know how to work trough it and acess some advanced options there (if there are any). It does not show windows boot manager. Im not sure even if it has to. However, I can pick from boot menu 3 things. Sata3_1 HL-DT_ST DVDRAM GH24NSD1 and SATA 3_0 WDC WD5000AAKX-00ERMA0 and disabled. Picked both of them, nothing happened. Went into the no bootable device found-insert the boot disk and press any key.

1.The pc itself has the one hard disk inside as I am aware. 2.Inside the boot manager I have the default boot device: empty Below it is a list of boot devices and they all are empty. 3. Since the data is important on it and my mother being lazy didnt make backup, could I take my external hard disk, somehow install windows on it, plug it into the pc, and just copy paste the important stuff to an another usb drive?

no boot

hi, new pc builder here. i just built a pc and tried to boot it up with a windows xp disk that came with my old computer. nothing happens, and it may be because i have a crippled disk, that is, maybe it is just a restore or repair disk. in any event, i won't buy windows again until windows 7 is issued and maybe not even then. in an attempt to get the new system to boot up i just ordered an ubuntu linux disk. if the linux disk does not get the pc booted up, what suggestions does the forum have? for background info, i can get the bios without a problem. i also get some memory test screen all the time also (the odd thing about the memory test screen is that it says that the system has a cpu that i definitely did not build the pc with). any ideas from the forum members for getting this system booted up? thanks for your suggestions.

 

PC wont boot up (No POST, No Video)

I recently installed a new Asus M5A99X Evo r2.0. The motherboard green LED lights up and the case and cpu fans spin. But there is no video when its hooked up to my monitor.

Steps that i have tried:
Perform these steps before posting about POST/boot/no video problems!

Made sure all connections are properly connected.

Flashing the CMOS

Tested the PSU

Followed all steps in the user manual

If there are any links that you guys can point me to or suggestions that could help it would be highly appreciated. Thank you
