    PC suddenly resets all inputs when opening a folder on an external hard drive


    So a couple of years ago I bought an external hard disk i didnt know what i was doing, i asked for hard disk and they gave me an external one and i just took it, i am inexperienced. It was working perfectly fine up until yesterday, 14. december 2022.The internal HDD, a smaller capacity one which has windows itself, works perfectly fine.All of a sudden, when i went to reset my pc yesterday, the pc took a long time to load up, almost 15 minutes, there was no update or anything that showed up.When everything loaded up, it was quite slow and all of a sudden, all of my inputs keyboard, mouse and

    Hi John,

    We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
    • Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.
    The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
