    Today, in the middle of playing a steam game, my PC just froze and turned off. It rebooted with that error screen. I was able to reboot it one more time, before it once again reset itself and now always has that error.

    Awhile back, I decided to swap hard drives since the active one was old and chugging along, so I used Macrium Reflect to copy the entire contents from one to the other, then unplugged the old one. It worked great for about two months.

    I can plug the old HDD in and use it as the boot device without issue. But it's old and slow and sucks. Why did the boot file just delete itself from the other drive? How do I fix it?

    vista boot error

    Well, earlier today i was trying to setup a dual boot along with Xp and already had vista installed... so I made a partition on one of my HD's and went to install XP on it.. the instalation went back and I got an error that the CD was bad, so I rebooted and now I get the error Error Loading Operating System.. trying to figure out how to fix this.. I tryed playing in the BIOS along with using the Vista repair option but nothing helping.. my vista is on a different hard drive then where i tried to install XP to...not sure what else to do, I need to fix my boot file somehow... suggestions?

    0xc0000225 boot error

    For some odd reason when I turned on my computer today, I was greeted with the error 0xc0000225 stating that my NLS files were corrupt/missing. I am Running Vista x64 and so far have tried the following:

    Replace NLS files
    Windows repair utility
    Restored an old working registry backup
    Tried booting with different ram configurations
    Created new BCD / Boot
    Chkdsk


    Google suggests something about apci, but my gigabyte ud3p doesn't have such an option (already vista compatible) and it seems to only occur to people who are initially installing and not people who already have a working copy.
