Windows 10: PC thinks Ethernet is plugged in, No connections show.

One day I moved my pc to the ethernet cable to download some games, and when I brought it back to my home setup where I use wifi, None of my connections show up its just a grey blank space over the network connection button. Ive tried factory resetting the computer, I troubleshooted my pc and it says -an ethernet cable is bot properly plugged in or might be broken, when I havent even tried to plug in an ethernet cable again to my PC , please help me out.

Ethernet plugged in but no internet

I have FiOS internet. An Ethernet cable runs from the outside box into my router. From there I use an Ethernet cable running from the router into my PC. I have never had Internet problems until yesterday. I remoted into my PC. I opened a browser, and it said no internet. Seemend strange seeing I could remote in. I went through troubleshooting steps, and eventually got kicked out of my PC.

I get home, and power cycle to PC and the router. Nothing. I check all connections in my house, everything is connected. I take to Ethernet cable and plug it into my Mac. I get internet. The only thing not getting Internet is my PC.

I have no idea what to do. Many suggestions say to update things. How do you update anything if you cant reach the Internet? It's as if something is blocking my internet access on my PC.

It doesn't have wi-fi so I can't connect that way. I have tried to plug in the Ethernet cable into the USB and still no internet. I get messages that I'm on my local network, but no internet.

Ethernet shows red X and does not appear in settings, but still works


Not sure why this is happening. I have working ethernet and am connected, it works fine. But the taskbar icon shows a red X over it, and the tooltip says "Not Connected - No connections are available". Looking in "Network & Internet", ethernet is not even listed there. And before anyone suggests wireless interference .. this PC does not have a wireless card or integrated wireless.

 

Windows 10 after upgade to 1709 if keyboard not plugged then ethernet device is not detected.

When I start my windows 10 (1709 build) without plugging keyboard and mouse, it does not detect Ethernet card.

Mother board is of Intel and Ethernet is on board (integrated).

I have also installed latest Ethernet driver by auto updated drivers from internet.

Steps:

Shutdown pc

Remove keyboard and mouse

Keep lan cable plugged

Start pc

Ethernet device is not detected. It shows in list in Device manager screen. but with Yellow triangle.

Then I need to plug keyboard and just do a hardware scan then Ethernet is detected and all ok after that.

When I start with keyboard and mouse plugged in then it detects Ethernet card and available on LAN.

Am I missing something?
