Windows 10: PC to TV Casting Keeps Disconnecting Window Media Player

I have casted media from my pc to tv's on my home network for years. Recently, any media I cast will work for 3-5 minutes before it disconnects. I have disabled my Bitdefender firewall, disabled power saving on my network adapter, updated my network adapter drivers, enabled Network Discovery and File and Printer Sharing. I am at a loss. I did recently change my IP from AT&T to Xfinity but I cannot see that being an issue. PLEASE HELPWindows 11 Pro

Is it possible to cast sequential files to TV? (Related: Fire TV Stick

Hi, recently I rediscovered I could cast files to my old smart TV across the room via the router next door. (That happens to be via the Youview box (streams, records) connected by ethernet, and to the TV). However, even if I have a file list displayed in the cast dialogue box, after one file has been played, casting stops, and I need to manually select the next file. I did try a play list file, but of course that's not regarded as a valid format in that context, even though there's a Cast context menu entry for it and it's added to the list in the cast dialogue box. Other than using a converter to merge files and to play that, is there any way to cast a list of files sequentially? I've not looked at Windows media player yet. Update After floundering around with playlists and WMP, I finally found there's ONE way to create a play list in WMP that, when cast, does actually play the files in playlist sequentially. This gives an idea:

I am wondering, though, if there isn't some more general way... ============================== Related: I have an Amazon Fire TV stick connected to a HDMI port. That supports bluetooth. However, despite some guides suggesting it should be possible to pair that with my PC, that fails. There is an attempt, then 'something went wrong'. I asked on their forum, but was only advised it offers limited options in respect of PCs, and is intended to pair with its remote control and gaming controllers. Try the steps listed below to cast Desktop screen:

• Make sure the Chromecast is connected to the TV and both the devices are On.
  
• Expand the Google Cast extension icon and select
  ‘Cast screen/window (experimental)’ option.
  
• When prompted to cast entire screen,
  Accept and click on ‘Share’.
  
• Open ‘Photos App’ to mirror photos on the PC.
  

You may search for an app that can cast your media to any
Google Cast device on your favorite search engine, and install it from the Store.

Window Media Player and Movies & TV arent working with internet conection

I realize that WMP and M& TV app is not working on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

As Windows Media Player is not able to access the file, suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if that helps. Follow these steps:

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
  

Select “Windows Media Player Settings” troubleshooter and run it to check if that helps.

Further, you may also take ownership of the file to check if that helps.

Follow these steps:

• 
  Right click the file and select Properties.
  
• 
  Click the Security tab, tap or click Advanced, then tap or click Change. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  
• 
  Type the name of the person that you want to give ownership to, and then click Check Names.
  

Note: The account name for the person that you are assigning ownership to is displayed.

  Click OK.
  
• 
  If you want this person to be the owner of the files and subfolders that are contained in this folder, select the “Replace owner on sub-containers and objects” check box.
  
• 
  Click OK.
