Windows 10: PC underperformes, lags, stutters and has many BSOD crashes

i have bought this pc around 2022 , i have a very powerful RTX 3070 , yet my pc always came with lags and stutters even during high framerates, i have had many many BSOD screens and i managed to take notes only of some which i will name right here0xc0000218 , MEMORY_MANAGMENT , SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION element that caused the problem : win32kbase.sys KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAILURe , UNEXPECTED STORE EXCEPTION , SYSTEM SERVICE EXEPTION element that caused the problem : Wdfilter.sys , VIDEO_SCHEDULAR_INTERNAL_ERROR. this one was the most frequent onei have no idea what component could be ca

Windows 11 lags / stutters on Desktop (new PC)

Hello guys

I recently bought a new PC after my old one was overdue.

The new PC is an HP Omen 45L GT22-0629nz

Specs:

• Windows 11 Home (22H2, 64 Bit)
  
• AMD Ryzen™ 7 5800X
  
• 32 GB RAM
  
• 1 TB SSD
  
• NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3070 Ti (8 GB)
  

Since I set up the PC whenever I'm on the desktop, windows and all windows applications tend to lag / stutter / work slow.

When try to open up the windows menu (Windows Key), the Windows explorer or applications like "settings" the pc takes a few seconds to open it, then the application stutters or is very laggy. Dragging program windows across the screen stutters also.

In contrary when I open up a game (for example CS:GO) and minimze the game, Windows runs smoothly (everything opens instantly, no stutters, etc.).

The task manager and the graphs tell me that 16% CPU and about 20%-22% RAM is used while the PC is not operating anything.

So the lag / stuttering ONLY occurs on windows itself, not other programs (games, browser, etc.) and only when nothing else is open.

What I tried to fix it:

• Optional Windows and Driver Updates
  
• BIOS Update
  
• GPU Driver Update
  
• "Reset-PC" in Windows Options with "Deleting all Data" and "Formatting all discs"
  

I couldn't figure out what causes the lag so far, maybe I have an experimental version of Windows?

Is it a windows or hardware problem?

PC is out of the box so I didn't change hard- or software so far except dowloading firefox and steam.

If there's not an easy solution I have overseen so far I am considering contacting HP support.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Video lag/stutter, suggetions?

Hey guys,

So ill start with saying I'm not very tech savvy, so sorry if any of this seems simple or stupid. I have windows 10 installed on my pc, its a simple Asus. My settings tell me I have an x64 based processor, a 64bit operating system, and 4gb RAM. Whenever I attempt to play a video file there is really bad stutter and lag in the video. Its more so with files already saved but will happen when streaming videos sometimes as well. Any suggestions on what to do about this?
