Windows 10: PC wake-up issue

I use a USB switch to share a mouse & keyboard between a desktop and laptop
If I am switched to the laptop and the desktop has gone to sleep in the meantime then when I switch back to the desktop activation of either the mouse or keyboard does not wake the desktop instead requiring me to push the power button to wake it up
If I am switched to the desktop and it goes to sleep I can wake it up via the the mouse or keyboard as expected (I believe that power management settings are correct else this wouldn't work)
Anyone know what's going on here?

• Have you encountered any error message?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

If you are having issues waking your PC from sleep, we suggest running the
Power troubleshooter as an initial troubleshooting. Kindly follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Troubleshoot, and then press Enter.
• Under Find and fix other problems, click on Power.
• Click on Run the troubleshooter button.
• Follow the onscreen guide.

Thank you for posting your reply. Apologize for the delay in response.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
