  1. PC was reset Dell suppprt recovery - how to remove 'registered' partial account

PC was Cmas gift - boot trouble -Account is screwed up . Used Dell support assist to scan hardware and then reset PC.Now can't sign-on at all. Windows finally real[zed that account is corrupt. Try to sign-on with another valid account but when i try to set a PJN get: Something went wrong. If try to continue, get same error. If 'skip', PC goes back to try to sign-on with corrupted account. Is there a way to remove old corrupt account?

    :)

Problem resetting PC - no recovery image registered

Not generic and meaningless. It's literally what it is called.

Settings > Reset this PC > Get started > follow it through...

    - - - Updated - - -

I shouldn't need to do that on a fresh install of Windows. It should just do the rest.

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Problem resetting PC - no recovery image registered

Yes, need to clarify .... "reset" is a generic meaningless term.
    - Windows recovery ?
    - proprietary device recovery (factory default setting) ? (Absolutely NOT recommended if this was the case)
    - and/or Windows repair (often confused/interchanged with "recovery" ?

How was this attempted (steps taken) ?
