Windows 10: Pc will not detect wired DualShock4

When i plug in my PlayStation 4 controller it starts charging but when i check device manager it does not appear there, i have tried restarting, and changing the usb ports/cables but nothing works. I am trying to use it with PS Now and that requires wired or wirelessusing a $70 adapter that i refuse to buy and the app does not support direct bluetooth from the computer. I have been trying to fix it myself for multiple days.

Wired mouse does not work but wireless gets detected

We understand your concern and we will provide the assistance required to help you resolve the issue.

As pr the information that you have provided, I suggest that you perform the methods stated below:

Method 1:

Connect the mouse to different USB ports and check if it gets detected. Also connect another wired mouse to the PC and check if it works.

Method 2:

Check if the cable of the mouse is not damaged.

Method 3:

In the scenario that an another mouse is getting detected, I suggest that you change your device as it might not be in a working state.

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

 

Wired PS3/PS4 controllers on PC question

I got this controller. Products - PowerA


It works really great on its own.

I cant seem to get any of these programs (tried all of them listed) to detect it as a 360 pad.
