Windows 10: PC with Window 11 could not detect internet connection via ethernet cable to modem.

I bought an HP laptop about 4 months ago, which came with Window 11 installed. Recently every time when the laptop is powered up, it could not detect the connection to internet via Ethernet cable connection the pc was able to detect internet via wifi to the same modem. I need to unplug the ethernet cable from the pc and plug in again then only the laptop detected the internet connection. I do not have this problem since the laptop was delivered, it seems to happen recently after the recent Window 11 update 22h2. I contacted HP Technical Supports today 29/10 and they helped me to

Cannot connect to Internet via direct Ethernet cable connection.

Hello. Have had this PC for about a year now. Came as Win7, updated to Win10 shortly thereafter. It is incapable of connecting to Internet wirelessly, so I connected it to modem directly through Ethernet cable. Have never had any problems whatsoever with
connectivity to the Internet.

All of the sudden, as of about last week, I would start up my PC and it would be disconnected from the Internet. It cannot detect any sort of Internet connections despite being directly connected to the modem. Even wirelessly connected devices in my home
like smartphones and tablets were unaffected by whatever ails my PC/Ethernet cable/etc.. I had:

• Restarted PC
• Unplugged and replugged in modem after 30 seconds
• Uninstalled drivers
• Checked for driver updates (of which there were none)
• Switched Ethernet ports
• Switched Ethernet cables
• Turned off firewalls and other malware-detecting programs
• Reset network devices
• ...and a host of other troubleshooting tips I have now forgotten

None of these worked, but after 10-20 minutes, the Internet returned to normal. It has just happened again, and I did not retry any of the aforementioned actions, and, once again, it returned after 10-20 minutes.

It may seem to be a very trivial problem if the Internet ultimately comes back, but this effectively means my PC's startup time is extended to about 20 minutes, and this proves to be extremely inconvenient when I need to access the Internet.

Please offer any suggestions you think would solve this problem. Whatever system specifications are needed I will provide.

 

Windows detects no ethernet cable is plugged when connected directly to modem

I had a network setup which consisted of a modem and a
Wifi router, where the router is connected to the modem, and all other device is connected to the router.

Recently my ISP offered to change the old modem to a newer modem+Wifi router combo, which had better performance than my old standalone router.
When migrating, every device connects to the modem properly, except for my PC, which detects no ethernet cable is plugged when it was connected directly to the modem. Sometime it got network access, but that only last about 10 seconds before windows said the cable is "unplugged" again.
On the modem side, the ethernet port was blinking green every one seconds. Sometimes it goes orange, but most of the time. It just stay blinking green.

I tried conneting the pc through the router then the modem and the PC connects to it fine. But that setup takes a lot of my space, not to mention the router is ancient.
I also tried reinstalling the driver using my MoBo included driver disk, but to no avail

Unable to connect to Cable Modem


I have an issue with my Windows 10 PC not connecting to my cable modem by ethernet cable. I connect the PC to the modem and all I get is "unidentified network - no internet", yet my laptop connects to the modem by ethernet (I'm using it now) just fine. I've tried everything I can think of to get my PC to connect to the modem, but nothing has fixed the problem so far. I can connect my phone to the modem fine by wifi as well, so the modem isn't the issue - or is it? Yesterday I had no issues with connecting to the modem and internet until I had a "blue screen event" and when the computer rebooted, I had the yellow triangle ! ever since.

Please HELP!!
