  1. PC won't find Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard

I have successfully connected my keyboard to my main PC and my phone. But when I try to add it to my backup very old PC on the third channel it won't show up in Bluetooth. Other Bluetooth devices show up. The keyboard appear if I check on my main PC and phone, so it seems my old PC can't find it for some weird reason.I've tried updating Bluetooth drivers and resetting Bluetooth disabling via Device Manager.I've tried restarting the PC and the keyboard.I even tried disabling the other devices but that doesn't help.

    :)

  2. Microsoft designer compact keyboard no connected

I have Designer Compact Keyboard which works fine on Linux system on the same machine. However, on windows 11 it pairs and works fine the first time but when doing system reboot, it just pairs but doesn't connect. I also have Microsoft ergonomic mouse which works fine after reboot. I looked around and tried multiple solutions but with no luck. Now, when I go to settings>Bluetooth & devices> Designer Compact Keyboard it says Paired only.

    Hello , 박세아

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

Did you mean the indicator on the keys shown in the figure below?

If yes, theoretically this is a light used to imply a connected host, Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard allows up to 3 devices to be connected, and the button can be used to switch between different devices. Visit Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard – Microsoft Accessories for more details.

So for now, you're only connected to two devices, so you'll only switch between the first two indicators. You can try connecting a third device to confirm that the light is working.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

  4. PC won't find Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard

One Dell laptop with 2 Designer Compact Keyboards -paired but not connected

    Hello, Gary Doucette1

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I am aware of the present situation is that you are having trouble with your keyboards. It sounds like you have two Designer Compact Keyboards that you want to use with one laptop, but they are not connecting properly.

According to the Microsoft Support website -<Use Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboard - Microsoft Support>, the Designer Compact Keyboard can be paired with up to three devices, but it does not support multi-device connection.

This means that you will need to unpair it from the current device and pair it to the second one to change devices. Essentially, two Microsoft Designer Compact Keyboards of the same model emit the same Bluetooth signal, i.e. Bluetooth 4.0+ protocol. This could explain why Windows Settings Devices shows only one device, as it might be recognizing the keyboards as the same one.

To pair your keyboard with another device, press the pair button on the top left of your keyboard for 5 seconds or until the LED light starts to flash. The light will change to the next Bluetooth slot and your keyboard will enter pairing mode.

If the notification to Connect appears on multiple PCs, select it on the PC you want to pair to then follow the instructions

Hope it helps! If any update, welcome to share with us.

    Best regards,
