Windows 10: PCIe Device detected in Windows, not in installation

Hello,Just build a new computer:Got it working, but not properly due to the main OS being on the SSD. Bought the new PCIe SSD drive to do a new install. The problems seem to be after a system error and problems installing the motherboard drivers. So I bought the new drive to finish it off, but Windows installer does not see the drive in the installer. So close and been at it for almost a week now by trying to not do a clean install.Now I have decided onto with the new drive and slowly transfer everything over before doing a format on the SSD, OS for the time being. windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 7 x64 not detecting GTX295

Background
I installed the 295 and it was not detected. So I downloaded 181.22 for Vista x64, but those drivers didn't work for gaming (CTD). So I installed a GTX 8800 and it was detected and drivers installed automatically from Windows Update.

Now I put the 295 back in, and it installed and was able to run games. However, the nVidia control panel was not available, suggesting that the drivers hadn't installed properly... So I deleted the drivers and rebooted. And... again it lists my 295 as a "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" and a "3D Video Controler", but no drivers can be found by Windows Update.

Question
1) Is there anywhere I can download the Windows 7 x64 drivers and install them manually?

2) Any idea how I can get Windows 7 to recognize my GTX295 so that it can download the proper drivers.

3) Have you had the GTX295 install automatically in Windows 7 x64?

 

PCIe fax modem detected and installed by Windows 10, but cannot query and cannot use it

My internal PCIe fax modem which worked well in Windows 8.1, is identified and installed with MS WHCP driver by Windows 10 as "PCIe Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP". No errors or conflicts listed in Device Manager. However, Windows says no fax modems installed
so I cannot use the Fax and Scan app.

I query the modem to diagnose, and this is the error message: "The port that the modem is attached could not be opened. This may be the result of a hardware conflict. Check the device manager to verify all devices are functional."

Any help appreciated.
