Windows 10: PCs no longer visible on Network after auto Windows Updates 10 Pro

I have 8 computers on a Network running MS Windows 10 Pro and all of them access a shared folder on a server computer. Now, 2 of the computers are no longer visible on the network after MS updated the computers during the night. The Windows Updates were:
Update for Windows 10 V1607 KB3211320
Update for Adobe Flash Windows V10 1607
Feature Update for Windows 10 v1607

For example, using Windows File Explorer, I would click on "Network" and it would list all of the computers on our network. At that point I would click on the "Server" computer and a list of the folders that I have access to would be displayed. Now, the Server computer is no longer visible on the network using Windows File Explorer. I am confident that the culprit is Windows automatic update because this happened once before on another machine and the problem was resolved after I removed the MS updates.

Does can anyone suggest a solution to my problem which doesn't involve removing the updates? I am reluctant to remove the updates again because I know it is important to remain current and I am worried a subsequent update will cause a repeat of the problem. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Auto play

Am using windows 10 pro creator update 1703 but my auto play functions isnt working

Eact time i insert a storage device like usb or sdcard no auto play option is visible and safe remove also not visible

I tried reseting auto play to default still no luck

 

Windows 10 Icon Missing After Windows 8.1 Update

My PC previously had Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with the Windows 10 Icon. I recently updated my Windows 7 to Windows 8 and then to Windows 8.1. After the update the Windows 10 icon is no longer visible? What happened? The whole reason I upgraded to
Windows 8.1 from Windows 7 was to get the free copy of Windows 10 Pro instead of Windows 10 Home. Any help would be much appreciated. For what it's worth, all copies of Windows are genuine.

 

That last one in your list is the Anniversary Update. This is not a simple cumulative update, it a complete install of the latest version of Windows 10. For 10 days after the install you have the option to roll back to your previous version.

How is your network set up? Do you use a Homegroup or a Workgroup?

We are not using Homegroups. I use the Windows 10 Missing Manual for reference and it refers to Workgroups as "Share Any Folder" as the 2nd option to share files in Windows. I guess I will have to remove the update if I can't resolve this problem but then I am worried about the problem occurring again with another update. I would appreciate any advice you can provide! Thank you!

 

I just discovered something interesting. I can still access the shared files on my SERVER from another computer on the network even though the SERVER is no longer visible under NETWORK in Windows File Explorer. In Windows File Explorer, frequently used folders are displayed in the upper left under Quick Access. The folder I use is still listed under Quick Access and I can still access that folder. It just isn't displayed under Network in Windows Explorer.

 

This might seem a bit obvious but have you rebooted the PC after the updates had finished, in addition to the obvious automatic reboot on installing them?
If not that, last time I lost my Network or parts of it, co-incidentally after the Anniversary update, having found none of the troubleshooting options actually did anything, I just used the Network Reset option. It's In the Action Centre > Network > Status > Network Reset ( right at the bottom) And everything returned to normal.

 

Actually, I didn't reboot the system after the update because I didn't discover the problem until after business hours started and our applications were functioning ok. I was fearful our server might not reboot or something else would go wrong. I will reboot this evening and see what happens and provide an update on the results. I rebooted the system and it didn't solve my problem. I reviewed the network reset option and it states I might have to reinstall other components, network switches, etc. I am fearful following this route might lead to other issues and worsen my situation. Am I overly worried? I could remove the updates but I wonder if that is merely postponing the problem to a later date since Windows will likely update my computers again in the future. Would you recommend removing the updates and attempting to change Windows so it doesn't do future updates? Not sure how to do this but I see a continuance of issues with Windows 10 auto updates. We are a small medical office and we can't afford to continue troubleshooting problems that are inflicted on us by an automatic update process. I appreciate your help and advice, thanks!
