Windows 10: PDF files won't show when using preview pane in Windows 10 file eplorer

Hi,


I've been wanting to use the preview pane option in Windows 10 files explorer.


My default app for to open pdf files is Microsoft edge. However, when clicking on any pdf document, the preview pane always displays the same message : No preview is available.


Can anyone help me ?

Conflicts with the program settings is one of the possible reasons why you are unable to view the PDF preview in the File Explorer Preview Pane. We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps in this

thread, and go to the post that was provided by Michalis_Georgiou
on October 24, 2017 in the 2nd page, and check if you will still encounter the same issue.

PDF file previews on MS-File Explorer preview pane

After an automatic Windows 10 update on Nov-14-2018 under KB4465663 and KB4467702, WIndows 10 MS-File Explorer is very sluggish and unable to show and .pdf previews, in the preview pane.

Any solutions?

 

deleting PDF files in Window 10 file explorer in preview pane

I was able to delete a .pdf file while in Preview pane. I am showing details not icons.

My .pdf files have a pdf icon in front of the file name.
