PDF icons duplicated in Win 11 taskbar when dragged to a 2nd monitor

I have two monitors and have set Win 11's taskbar ton only show the open files on that monitor's screen, and to NOT group/stack icons. which works fine except with PDFs. For those, I unchecked a box in Acrobat's "Preferences" called "Open documents as new tabs in the same window" Adobe could have just called it "Group icons" so that the PDF icons would not be grouped. However, now when I move an open PDF from one monitor to another, Win 11's taskbar duplicates the PFD's icons and shows the two side by side on the second monitor - so duplicate icons for th

Win 11 taskbar duplicates Adobe PDF icons after they're moved from another monitor

I have two external monitors and have set Win11's taskbar on each monitor to only show the open files on that screen and to not combine/stack/group them. The not group worked for everythign except Adobe PFS, so I found by unchecking a box in Adobe preferences called "Open documents as new tabs in the same window " the PDFs would no show separately (the other option it to let Adobe group them, then drage then into separate windows).

However, when I move an open PDF from one monitor to another now, Windows taskbar shows two icons side by side for that file. If I then move the file back to the original monitor, the taskbar still shows the two icons.

I just want my files to show as separate icons on the monitor they're open on. Not grouped into a single window by program type, and not listed twice. But it seems I either have to let Windows combine them or have duplicate PDF icons on the taskbar. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Thanks

How Do I Add These Icons To A 2nd Monitor/TV??

You can move the whole Taskbar and System Tray to the second monitor, by unlocking it and dragging it to the second monitor In Windows 10 not 11. You can duplicate the Taskbar so it appears on both monitors, But you cannot duplicate the System Tray, those icons will only appear on the Primary Monitor You also cannot select certain icons in the system tray to appear on a second monitor. Unless there is a 3rd party app that does that.

Can't drag files to icons on taskbar since Windows 11 upgrade.

I can no longer drag files to icons on taskbar since Windows 11 upgrade. For example, previously, I could be writing an email, and want to attach a pdf from a folder I already have open. I would open that folder by clicking it on the task bar, click and hold the pdf file, drag it down to the outlook icon on the taskbar, outlook would open the email I'm writing, and I drop the pdf into the email, and it becomes an attachment. Only 2 clicks necessary. That doesn't work anymore. It won't open outlook when I drag the file to the outlook icon. It won't open any of the icons on the taskbar when you drag a document to that icon. A major inconvenience if you do it a lot.

Before, you could do the same thing if you wanted to drag a picture into a word document, (drag the picture down to word on the taskbar). Or, you could move one page from one PDF to another (drag the page from one PDF to the PDF icon on the taskbar, then a selection of all the PDFs you have open is provided, and you drag to the to the one you want to insert the page in, that PDF opens and you drag the page to where you want it and that PDF. Simple.

The only way I can see to do these things now, is to have both windows open simultaneously.

Way worst way to do the same thing, very inefficient.
