Windows 10: PDF icons in Destokp are black

Hi everyone,

I have a big problem, I tried with delete icon canche doesn't help and reinstall Adobe Reader doesn't help too. I don't why when I turn on my computer only the pdf icons look blacks. Please help me.

PD: I have the last version of Window and Adobe Acrobat.

Let’s try simple steps and check if this helps in resolving the issue.

Step 1.

I would suggest you to update the Display driver from Device Manager manually and check if this helps.

• 
  Press (Windows key + X) and click on “Device Manager”.
  
• 
  Expand “Display Adaptor”.
  
• 
  Right click on the driver device and select
  update.
  
• 
  Once update is done, restart the computer.
  

If the issue still persist, try the below step.

Step 2.

I recommend you to un-install and reinstall the latest adobe reader version. You can download it form the below link;

https://acrobat.adobe.com/us/en/products/pdf-reader.html

• UnityPDF to merge/split PDFs and to insert/extract pages

• doPDF to create PDFs from any program that is capable of printing

• Foxit Reader to view PDFs and to type in them

 

Pdf files show as black icons on my desktop.

After having installed Windows 10 Upgrade my .pdf file icons on my desktop appear black. When i first boot the machine, the .pdf files appear okay. However, within 1 second after boot is complete the icons turn black. This only affects the .pdf files.
I have Adobe Reader XI Veer. 11.101.2 installed on my machine.
