Windows 10: PDF not showing in Windows 11 Explorer

HelloSuddenly PDF files are not showing any more in Windows 11 explorer. No problem with Excel or Word.I've gone through -Unticking the Preview Pane option and putting it back-I've made sure that the Show preview handlers in preview pane checkbox is checked-and that the checkbox Always show icons, never thumbnails is unchecked-The Open File Explorer to drop-down under the General tab, is This PC -In System Properties I've changed Performance Options settings to Adjust for best appearance.WHAT MORE ???I think this happened after a wi

File Explorer - Some PDF's show thumbnail image, some don’t

In Windows 10 File Explorer, I see thumbnails for a few of my pdf files but still see the generic Adobe pdf icon for most of them.

• In Windows 10 folder options, the checkbox for “Always show icons, never thumbnails” is unchecked.
• On the Adobe Reader preferences general tab, “Enable PDF thumbnails previews in Windows Explorer” is checked.
• Adobe Acrobat is set as my default PDF viewer.
• I have used Disk Cleanup to delete all my thumbnails to clear and rebuild the cache, yet the problem persists.

Any suggestions on how I can see all the pdf icons as thumbnails?

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (20.006.20034)

Search in Windows Explorer (Windows 11) not finding pdfs

When I do a 'search' in Windows Explorer (Windows 11), results for Microsoft documents (Word, Excel, etc) are discovered but not pdfs - even though I know the words are contained within the pdfs. Anyone got any suggestions? I've checked to make sure pdfs are selected in the Advanced Indexing Options and have run the indexing trouble shooter but nothing seems to fix the issue.

I'm not sure I follow what you mean by that? Could you explain, please?

My problem is that I can't find pdfs doing word searches in Windows/File Explorer - it brings up documents in Word, Excel, etc but not any that are saved as pdfs. So, when I did what you suggested above on the Command Prompt, I saw all the pdfs listed (and I have many on my laptop) but I'm not sure what to do with that list. It confirms that the pdfs are there and recognisable but doesn't help me find the ones I'm trying to find with a key word search.
