  1. PeekMessage not returning WM_KEYDOWN message

    Hi. I'm having trouble with PeekMessage. I use PeekMessage in a loop inside my WM_PAINT procedure to consume messages generated during a long computation process, and to allow the user to abort the process by pressing ESCAPE. Here is a snippet of my code... // Wait for all threads to terminate. for ;; { // Wait for up to fifty milliseconds. if WaitForMultipleObjectsThreads, phThreadArray, TRUE, 50 == WAIT_OBJECT_0 break; // Update the user about progress. int Slice = wq->getSlices;

    :)

    Not a bad feature suggestion as it saves you time getting to the gist of the message. EVGA, Anandtech, and OCN has the feature on their site.

    how to manage return points and how to unpersonalize windows search function

    Hi Alifolie,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    It sounds like you have a couple of issues with your Windows 11 system. Let me address your questions step by step:

    1. Managing Return Points:
      • Recovery points in Windows are created to provide a way to roll back your system to a previous state in case of issues. To manage recovery points, you can follow these steps:
        • Type "Create a recovery drive" in the search bar and open the corresponding system settings.
        • From there, you can create a recovery drive or access System Restore to manage existing recovery points.
    2. Depersonalizing Windows Search:
      • To depersonalize the Windows search function, you can try the following steps:
        • Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Search and uncheck any options related to personalized results.
        • Additionally, you can clear your search history and disable online search suggestions to further depersonalize the search function.
    On the first question if my understanding is wrong please feel free to ask.

    As for managing recovery points saved in your Microsoft account, it's worth noting that Windows backups and recovery points are usually stored locally on your device rather than in your Microsoft account. However, you can use OneDrive for cloud-based file backup and recovery, but it's not directly related to system recovery points.

    Thank you for your patience and understanding, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave us a message.

    Best regards
