Windows 10: People calling my home acting on Microsofts behalf to sell products I do not need and going...

Over the last 3 years individuals have been calling my home on behalf of Microsoft trying to sell me products that I don't need. The last one to call continued to be very persistant. I had some choice words for this guy and hung up. In the meantime, this person made it impossible for me to get back into my computer. Whoever this individual was, went into my computer telling me what doesn't work with my computer. He actually pointed on my computer screen programs he actually thought was a problem. I had no problems prior to his call. And then to shut down my system. I was appalled. I wanna know who is responsible and who can correct what they have done? Then I get an automated call saying they were from Microsoft and removing me from their files. Somebody help me please.

Had a call from someone who claimed to be calling on behalf of Microsoft and Windows. I asked what he wanted and it wasn't clear. I then asked how he knew I had a Microsoft Product he said from the registration and he was going to read out the licence number
and I can confirm it as 'I can see it with my own eyes and believe my own eyes.' I then old him I had no Microsoft laptops/computers around me which he then jumped to and said 'yes windows'. When I tried to see who called, the number was hidden.

I'm guessing this is a scam caller? Has anyone else had this?
