Windows 10: Performance issues, Buggy Interface.

Hello

I was having serious performance issues with my with my Pavilion gaming windows laptop recently after I had the motherboard replaced. Mouse lags, slow response times.These also used to occur earlier. Black screen used to flash after opening an app. The laptop also got stuck on a black screen repeatedly. The resolution automatically changed after I opened an app it was also showing recommended scaling as 150% which is weird. And some Strange colored lines appeared on the display. My Epic games Launcher also always used to get stuck in a crashing loop and Ram usage shot up to 96% with nothing else open. After this the service team advised me to reset Windows 10 claiming to be an OS issue which I did. It did appear to solve all problems but I still got black screen flashing sometimes after opening an app and computer freezing for some time when clicking tabs on UI. Slow response times in many apps and buggy UI still persists. Can anyone Please help me know what's causing these problems and also what can be the cause of the strange lines on display. Is it again related to faulty hardware or are these due to software/OS issues?


PS: I want to confirm weather non of these issues is/was caused by faulty hardware/motherboard to be on the safer side.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

Performance issues with File Explorer in Windows 10

As the issue still persists, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if this helps.

I would suggest you to perform System Maintenance troubleshooter on the computer and check if it fixes the issue.

Please follow the steps to perform System maintenance check to improve performance of the computer:

  Press Windows and x key together and select Control Panel.

  Click on Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left side panel.
  
• 
  Click on System Maintenance and follow the onscreen instructions.
  

I also suggest you to install the latest Windows updates and check.

Windows Update helps keep your computer up to date with the latest system updates and drivers. You can check Windows Update manually to help ensure you have the latest updates.

  Hit Windows Key and type
  
• 
  Type Windows Updates
  
• 
  Click on Windows Updates
  
• 
  Click on Check for updates
  and install the latest windows updates.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
