Windows 10: Performance issues

Split from this thread. Hi Aurthur:Just a question for you. I'm using my old Lenovo G500 to type this, this morning early it worked just fine, really fast on all the apps line Edge and Chrome.A few minutes ago I signed on to do a task, it started slowly, desktop looked fine, but nothing would work, Couldn;t do a restart, keyboard not working. I did a Ctrl: Alt: Delete. Choose to sign off, then when it came to life again I signed back in and now it's working fine.What can cause this to happen? And what do you do or would you recommend I do when it does happen? ThanksKen 977

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

1. When you say “connectivity” what is the exact issue you are facing?

2. Did you make any changes in the settings of the system prior to this issue?

As you say that the system is slow and the file explorer doesn't responds well i suggest you to perform the System Maintenance troubleshooter which improves the performance of the computer. Follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter

Please follow the steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter on the computer:

• Type “Control Panel” on the search box.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.
