Windows 10: Performant computer crashes random applications

Hi! :This is pretty much my last hope... I've already tried so many things.So! Here's my computer:Windows 11Intel Core i9-13900K32 GB RAMNvidia GeForce RTX 4070 TiIt started closing random games/applications out of nowhere. The issue became more and more frequent, so I finally decided to investigate. Turns out, I just spent 5 hours trying everything I could find, but nothing changed. That said, I did come across some potential issues, so my time wasn’t entirely wasted:I found an error with FLTMGR.SYS. Random Crash/Freeze on Build 10130


Hello everyone.

I have been running the Windows 10 preview for the last few months and other than a driver issue here or there, did not experience any real problems. However, with the last update to build 10130, I have been experiencing a random crash/freeze that manifests itself in one of two ways:

1. If I step away from the computer and come back before the monitor is set to go to sleep, I will come back to a frozen cursor, unable to do anything.
2. If I step away from the computer and come back after the monitor has gone to sleep, I will come back to a black screen, unable to do anything.

In both cases, I have to hold the power button in to shut down the computer for a restart.

Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Random crashes on new computer

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Followed all steps and haven't received a crash yet but as I said before, its random.

NZXT CAM O.C. was never used but I use it for lighting and fan regulation.
I have OCCT installed but have never even launched it.
I've overclocked slightly on AORUS Engine but reset to default / silent mode for testing here.
Ryzen 5 is also slightly overclocked (one click UEFI optimal setting @ 3800)

Furmark overclock seemed quite stable at 68C which is fairly normal at that GPU usage.

• Does the issue only occur when you're performing a specific task?
• How did you re-install your Windows 10?
• Aside from re-installing Windows 10, what are the troubleshooting steps you've done so far?
