Windows 10: Performed A Clean Boot, PIN is disabled and the Set up pin button isnt working

Recently I performed a clean boot to try and find out why a game isn't working, but I forgot to press "hide microsoft services" and when I restarted my computer the option to put in y PIN was disabled. I tried clicking the "Set up my pin" button but it doesn't work, and there are no other options on the sign in screen. I followed a few guides on fixing that, such as using the command prompt and restore point in Windows Recovery Mode, but I ran into a seperate problem when I select my own account and put in my password to access it, my password doesn't work. Disable Sign In PIN

You can also disable PIN using registry. Try these steps:

1. Open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.
3. Set AllowDomainPINLogon to 0.
4. Close Registry Editor and reboot your system.

Disable Sign In PIN

Hi I'm Peter an independent advisor, if you want to disable Windows 10 PIN sign in option, you can do it in this way.

Step 1: Press Windows and R key on the keyboard and enter gpedit.msc on Run open box. Then, press Enter or click the OK button to access Local Group Policy Editor.

Step 2: In this interface, access Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Systems > Logon > Turn on PIN sign-in.

Step 3: Double click Turn on PIN sign-in, and set this option to Disabled. Then click OK and Apply button. After that, the PIN sign in option is disabled.

 

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.
