sfc scannow could not perform the requested operation

There are many websites that suggest fixes for this error. The most common are listed below (the sfc, chkdsk, and icacls commands should be run in an elevated Command Prompt like the one shown in your screenshot):

1. Run services.msc and make sure that the Windows Modules Installer service is not disabled. Its "Startup type" should be "Manual"
   
2. Run sfc /scannow in Safe Mode
   
3. Run chkdsk on the system drive (usually C to fix any file system errors. Most sites I've seen suggest that you run chkdsk /r but if you have a large capacity drive that will take a very long time. Running chkdsk /f should be sufficient.
   
4. I've also seen several suggestions to "fix" or "change" the security descriptors for the C:\Windows\winsxs directory by using the following command: ICACLS C:\Windows\winsxs However, considering that this command only views the security descriptors, I doubt that it would fix or change anything.

However,
everything is running fine and very quickly.

With scf scans working correctly with no integrity violations.



The chkdsk /scan shows nothing wrong.



Why should I run the dism commands?

 

SFC scannow not working but verify only is working

there is no problem in chkdsk I've checked When I select command prompt and sfc scannow from f8 and repair.. it shows that a reboot is required for pending repair and pending renames folder in winsxs is full of files.. what should I do??
