Everytime I come back to my setup at home after taking my laptop to a friends house and plug my peripherals in they dont register. So I have to restart the computer like 3 times to get them to work again. What could be the cause of this?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Peripherals not showing :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

It's fine I just want to make a point that I read each person's post and you'll notice next to your name as a member there are only the peripherals listed. Mouspads are not connected via cable or virtual cable to a computer I/O, and neither are processors.
