Windows 10: Permanent Fix to Computer Performance Issues

My computer was experiencing poor performance. After trying several different things, I ran the following command: "chkdsk /r" This fixed the problem. However, after turning my computer off and restarting windows the problem returned. I ran the command again and it fixed the problem again this takes several hours to complete this fix. Now I am afraid to turn off my computer. Any recommendations for how to fix my computer permanently. I'd rather not have to do a complete reinstall of windows on my computer..

1. When you say “connectivity” what is the exact issue you are facing?

2. Did you make any changes in the settings of the system prior to this issue?

As you say that the system is slow and the file explorer doesn't responds well i suggest you to perform the System Maintenance troubleshooter which improves the performance of the computer. Follow the below methods and check if it helps.

Method 1: Run the System Maintenance troubleshooter

Please follow the steps to run System Maintenance troubleshooter on the computer:

• Type “Control Panel” on the search box.
• Click on Troubleshooting.
• Click on View all option on the left side of the Windows.
• Click on System Maintenance option.
• Click on Next and follow the onscreen instructions to troubleshoot the issue.
• Check if it has improved the performance.

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I'm here to assist you with the issue of computer performance slow. Please follow the below to improve computer performance.

Fix #1

Step 1

Right-click on Windows icon and then select Run

Step 2

Type %temp% and press enter

Step 3:

Select all files and folders and press Shift +Del to permanently delete the temporary files.

Step 4:

Next go to C:\Windows\Temp and select all files and folders

Step 5:

Press Shift +Del to permanently delete the temporary files.

Fix #2

Right-click the Start button.

Click Search.

Type msconfig and hit Enter on your keyboard.

Click Services.

Click the checkbox next to Hide all Microsoft services.

Click Disable all.

Click Startup.

Click Open Task Manager.

Click any startup program you suspect might be interfering.

Click Disable. Repeat steps 9 and 10 for all startup programs.

Click the X to close Task Manager.

Click OK in the System Configuration window.

Restart your PC.
